About Larry

Larry began his career with the Sara Lee Corporation starting with Bryan Foods and later with Design Foods. In 1995, Larry moved into the poultry industry with McCarty Foods and remained in poultry sales working with companies including Wayne Farms, Conagra Poultry, Pilgrim’s and Keystone Foods. Larry is originally from West Point, Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi State University, obtaining a B.S. degree in Marketing. He is married to Rebecca, and they have one daughter and three sons, and one granddaughter.

About Jason

Jason brings over 20 years of industry experience to DG Foods, starting his career at Gold Kist in Athens, GA with local distribution sales. He then moved to Pilgrim’s Pride and worked in various roles, including plant sales manager and regional outside sales manager selling into distribution, foodservice, and retail channels. After a long stint with Pilgrim’s, his last role was with Agrosuper selling imported IQF products into various markets throughout the US. Jason received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business from the University of Georgia.  He is married to Tina, and they have one daughter and one son.

Jeff has over 35 years of management experience in food manufacturing with companies such as ConAgra, Pilgrims, Perdue, and Bachoco/OK Foods.  Jeff holds certifications in HACCP, Advanced HACCP and IDV Compliance, SSOP, and many others. Jeff is originally from Arkansas and received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Southern Arkansas University.

Backpacks and school supplies were donated also to the Hazlehurst Chamber of Commerce for their Flamingo Friday Back to School Bash, and all remaining backpacks were given to the Morehouse Community Improvement Organization Head Start Program to help preschool-age children start a successful school year off with a leg up on success. Mrs. Brown, representative of MCIO, accepted the backpacks with much appreciation.

About Chris

Chris is a highly experienced executive with more than 30 years in the poultry industry. He most recently served as senior vice president of operations, quality and technical services at Foster Farms in Livingston, California. Prior to Foster Farms, Chris served in various roles including general manager, division vice president, and division senior vice president of operations for Pilgrim’s.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science, Business from the University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oregon.

The combination of his experience in driving business profitability with growth and building highly qualified cross-functional teams through employee training and development, makes Chris an ideal fit and positions the company to achieve the next phase of further growth in the poultry processing sector.

Duffy’s Legacy

After working in the poultry industry for 46 years—holding executive roles with multiple large companies for 35 of them—Duffy founded DG Foods in 2004 as a poultry further processor specializing in co-packing services. Under Duffy’s leadership for more than 18 years, DG Foods grew from one facility with 20 employees to one with 1,000 employees, adding a second facility in 2009 in Bastrop, Louisiana.

Built on quality, relationships, and service, DG Foods’ foundation allowed the company to grow from processing 50,000 pounds per week to start to processing 7.5 million pounds per week by 2022.

To date, DG Foods has enjoyed partnerships with customers such as Bar-S Foods, Foster Farms, Koch Foods, Pilgrim’s, Sanderson Farms, Tyson Foods and numerous other companies, with some relationships lasting greater than 18 years. Bill has acquired more than 30 years of poultry experience in varying management positions including plant manager and facility manager at Marshall Durbin Companies and Choctaw Maid Farms.

He joined the DG Foods team in September 2004 as general manager and was instrumental in the start-up of the company. Bill has since made numerous contributions to the success of the company over the last 17 years. A native of Canton, Mississippi, Bill earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University. He and his wife Jan reside in Madison, Mississippi.
